STRONG LIPS
One of the major trends seen at India Fashion Week was strong lips - a look that can work on all skin tones and is very impactful on the runway. Seen at James Ferriera, Sabyascahi Mukherjee and Varun Bahl.Get the Look
1. Apply foundation or MAC's prep and prime lip on the lips as a base - this makes application easier and it also stops the colour staining the lips.
2. Line and define lips with lip liner and blend in-wards.
3. Fill in with the lipstick of your choice. To really make the lips pop you can add a brighter lip colour just in the centre.
4. Strong lips are such a statement they can be worn alone or with just mascara.
MODERN SMOKY EYE
Another major trend was smokey winged out eyes with a cooler, edgier vibe taking inspiration from the classic smokey eye and playing with it to create a more contemporary feel. Seen at Joy Mitra, Sonai Jetleey, Radjeep Singh Ranawat, Ashima Leena and Ritu Kumar.

2. Smudge the kohl underneath the eyes with an eyeshadow to create the smokey effect.
3. Pull the liner out at the outer corner of the eyes to create a cat-like winged effect.
4. Experiment with colours - try graphite's and grey rather than typical black and have fun with the shape!

STRONG BROWS
Internationally a big trend was handsome beauty. Girls who looked like boys courtesy of strong brows in shows such as Anamikha Khanna, Rehane and Shantanu & Nikhil.
